Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

I wish to take this opportunity to thank the craft for electing me to the office of Most Worshipful Grand Master.  Words will never express my heartfelt gratitude for being afforded this opportunity.  This road traveled has been one of GREATreward, and it is my solemn promise to uphold the duties and responsibilities of the office of Grand Master faithfully, zealously, and impartially, to the best of my ability.

I wish to commend Past Grand Master Kevin L. Bell for exemplifying sincere and strong leadership during his tenure as Most Worshipful Grand Master of Prince Hall Masonry in Michigan.  Your unwavering decision-making during every crisis has been an inspiration and source of duplication.  You served this Jurisdiction well on all fronts, and it was an honor, privilege, and pleasure to have served as your Deputy during your tenure as Most Worshipful Grand Master.

This past year has been a very difficult time for our masonic family, our country, and the world as a whole.  The COVID-19 Pandemic will be remembered for the treacherous havoc it inflicted on a vast population of people across the globe, specifically those within our Prince Hall Family.  We give thanks to the Supreme Architect of the Universe for the life and legacy of those honored members of our noble institution that were lost due to the virus.  To those that contracted the virus but survived, we thank the Supreme Architect for covering them with his healing grace.  It is our continued prayer that the Supreme Architect of the Universe will comfort the families and loved ones of those impacted by this virus.

Message from the Grand Master

The theme of this administration, “Doing The Right Thing For The Right Reasons”, will serve as the marching orders for those Grand Lodge Committees to implement and execute those initiatives and programs that will be beneficial to the Jurisdiction as a whole.  I encourage you to carry on the rich traditions within your respective lodges/masonic bodies, but I challenge you to be an advocate for positive change as the Grand Lodge strategically plans for future growth and prosperity.  We have significant challenges ahead, but if we stand and act as a unified body, our successes will be immeasurable.  In the infamous words of Past Grand Master Walter C. Griffin Jr., “What Come You Here To Do”???

I THANK YOU ALL in advance for your unwavering support in growing Michigan PHA to greater heights.  God’s blessings to you and your families; stay safe, and mask up.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.  Proverb 3:5-6

Fraternally submitted,

Working Towards a Brighter Future

Furthering our cause is the most important goal of our organization. We seek to support, empower, and provide high quality resources to our community in a safe and secure environment. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the value we provide to those we serve.

We are members of the oldest fraternity. We are committed to spreading brotherly love, providing relief, and seeking truth.  For over 150 years, we have contributed to great communities throughout Michigan.

Assisting those in need is one of the staples of what we do. Yearly educational stipends, food drives, adopting families for the holidays, and youth mentoring are just some of the activities our members engage in.
